Constitution of Bangladesh Film Directors Association

During the Great War of Liberation in 1971, an organization consisting of several freedom fighters, film directors, artists and artisans made its debut in Mujib Nagar. Its name is "Muktijoddha Shilpi O Kalakushali Samiti". Zaheer Raihan as President, Syed Hasan Imam as General Secretary, Khasru Noman as Deputy General Secretary, Abdul Jabbar Khan as Treasurer and Subhash Dutt, Narayan Ghosh Mita, Alamgir Kabir, Abu Musa Debu, Mamtaz Ali, Arun Roy, Subal Das, Samar Das, Ajmal Huda Mithu, Raju Ahmed, A. J. A committee was formed by nominating 133 (one hundred and thirty three) members including Mintu, Kabari, Ikram Biju. From this organization they contributed in different ways in different ways in the great liberation war. From this organization, "Jhanang Eghang" was built under the direction of Zaheer Raihan. This image is displayed all over the world and shakes the world conscience. The conscientious people of the world support our great liberation war and call for international cooperation. Our freedom struggle goes ahead. Bangladesh emerged on the world map as an independent sovereign country. We gain a distinct territory, a map and a flag.

We are the citizens of independent Bangladesh achieved through a bloody armed struggle. We are also committed to building a happy and prosperous country. The creator of a film is a director. As citizens of Bangladesh, we film directors believe that we also have an important role to play in preventing social degradation, establishing a society free from exploitation, integrating democratic values, nurturing and developing indigenous culture and art to make our beloved motherland happy, beautiful and prosperous. It is not possible in any single action effort. Enlightened by this belief, we, the film directors of Bangladesh, have come together under the banner of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association and are taking an oath to play our role in a united manner.

The first independent board of directors was formed in 1973 with the inspiration of the freedom fighters who took part in the war of independence and with their active cooperation and participation of some other prominent directors. A committee was formed with Syed Hasan Imam as president, Azizur Rahman as vice-president and Chashi Nazrul Islam as general secretary. However, due to various reasons, the tenure of this committee was not extended.

Union memorandum and manifesto

In 1981, the Bangladesh Film Directors Association was reconstituted through a convening committee with Mr. Alamgir Kumkum as President and Mr. Amjad Hossain as General Secretary. 1974-75 AD The constitution of the association was formulated through a constitution sub-committee. The honorable members of this constitution sub-committee are Syed Hasan Imam, Mr. Alamgir Kumkum, Abul Bashar, Masood Parvez, Ajmal Huda Mithu, Shibli Sadiq, Aziz Meher, Dilip Biswas and Ehteshamur Rahman. Since then, due to the evolution of time, change of circumstances, wide expansion of activities, reorganization of organizational structure, coordination with various organizations in the film arena, as well as the need to play multiple roles in domestic and international film arena, revision and expansion of the association became necessary in 1992-93. The executive council entrusted the task of amending the constitution to Mr. Nazmul Huda Mintu, an executive member of the council. Mr. Nazmul Huda Mintu introduced some amendments in the special general meeting convened on 26/7/92 AD to amend the constitution. The special general meeting approved the proposed constitution with some further amendments.

Then what is considered as the constitution of Bangladesh Film Directors Association-92 and under this amended constitution the activities and elections of the association have been conducted till now.

Association Memorandum of Registration of the Association and Amendment of the Constitution

The long-standing demands of the esteemed members and the election commitment of the 2001-2003 Executive Council were to register the association and amend the constitution. The Executive Council of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association (2001-2003) took charge and made strenuous efforts for registration. On 28th July, 2002, the Association of Bangladesh Film Directors, registered under the Registration Certificate of the Association and the Societies Registration Act, 180, received the Articles of Memorandum. Registration Certificate No. of the Society Nazmul Huda Mintu, who was appointed by the executive council in 2003, introduced the amendment in the general meeting of the constitution amendment meeting on 30/6/02 AD by attaching the registration certificate of the association and the articles of memorandum (union memorandum). Is.

With the evolution of time, the film industry is coming to an end today. In the light of this, it has become necessary to revise and amend the constitution of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association. Therefore, in the last 10/03/2009 AD, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors convened Mr. Saidur Rahman Saeed and nominated Mr. Chashi Nazrul Islam, Mohiuddin Farooq, Selim Azam and Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar as members and Mr. Nazmul Huda Mintu as Member Secretary. A sub-committee was formed to look into the matter.

The committee amended the proposed amendments for the approval of the Executive Council.
